This week I had a tutorial, mainly to discuss the issue of the portfolio with Sarah, and to ask Sarah to give advice to my portfolio.
At the beginning, Sarah asked me questions about portfolios and courses, and professionally I asked questions about pestal, and I asked sarah how to relate to my work, because I always thought that the pestal model was too macro and that I was a little difficult to unfold when I was working on projects. Sarah explained to me that pestal and swot were discussing a more macroscopic problem, the other was talking about internal factors, and the six factors of pestal would directly affect swot’s four factors.
Later Sarah also made suggestions for the swot I wrote, and the main opinion was to let me open my mind and not limit my ideas.
I asked questions about applying for an undergraduate, and the major I wanted to choose as an undergraduate was visual merchandising, which I thought was more creative and needed something creative than traditional fashion management and fashion marketing. I don’t like the traditional writing paper and analysis market so much, so I think this major is very suitable for me. Later, I asked how likely I was to apply for an undergraduate degree, and Sarah told me that after submitting my work, Giles and Sarah would work together to assign me a major based on my ability and choice. So if I want to apply to my target major, I need to highlight my creativity in my portfolio.
Sarah also gave me a lot of encouragement later, and she recognized my previous efforts and looked forward to the continued development of my portfolio.
