Today is the first business session. This is the major I chose, so I am still very looking forward to this class, and I am also very interested in the content of the class.
From the beginning, the teacher introduced to us that for business, the first step is to conduct research and analysis on the market. Most of the time, the source of a large amount of information is fashion magazines and websites. When the teacher introduced us, I found that I only knew a small part of them, and I hadn’t even heard of some of them in China. I think it is the most basic to understand this information, because these are my most basic ways to feel and analyze fashion trends. Fashion forecasting is a very important field, which is about colors, styling techniques, fabric textures and so on.
When doing moodboards, I chose to do research on Monet’s Impressionism. The search for elements went smoothly, but I found that the color matching was not fully considered during the layout, which caused some troubles to the layout, but it was also smooth. To solve this problem, you will need to find a balance in the performance of emotions and information.
Then the teacher introduced us to the marketing mix. In my opinion, this is a relatively important thing for marketing. Then we started to report on the stores of our choice. I made a report on CDG stores. During the research, I found out Normally thinking about the store is not enough, not from the perspective of a fashion worker, we should consciously investigate and analyze this information in our daily life. Brand promotion requires in-depth research, which is closely related to the success of the brand, especially for brands like CDG and many with a long history, they need more research content, and there are many nodes in history. Many decisions and changes have far-reaching effects.
This class has brought me a lot of thinking. I hope that when I finish my homework after class, I can have more in-depth ideas about my research methods, and try to get a deeper understanding of the brands and fashion trends that I am usually interested in.
